Now in his final form, it's time to feel the pain of large AoE attacks. Knock him out again to trigger one more, lengthy cutscene that results in Childe becoming enraged. Break the Electro veil he puts up and you'll lock him into a stagger that he rarely comes back from. His final strike is a good time to retaliate. Get the rhythm down and you'll be able to iframe each with a tap of the run button. He'll dash through you between two and four times total, with each coming from his last position. If you see him slowly arching forward with his polearm, get ready to dodge. One attack to watch out for here is his multi-hit dash across the arena. There's a form of this move where he'll do some rapid dagger slashes before ending on the same heavy swing, so if there's no second-long interval before an attack, there's probably a flurry coming your way.
He'll likely follow up with a similar move from the daggers, so get your attacks in and dodge again. Just like his other melee attacks, you'll want to dash behind to avoid it. With the polearm out, Childe will spin it like a baton and do a frontal 180-degree arc with a decent reach. Again, it's just a matter of watching his every move. In Electro form, Childe uses a polearm and even longer twin daggers. He'll trigger a Hydro wave for damage and then pop his veil for another splash of a hit, revealing his Electro form. Once his HP hits 1% or so, get away from him. You'll either dodge the attacks outright or be in an iframe when they hit. Obviously a ranged character wouldn't go amiss here, but if you have shield and heals on your side, just focus on evading to his rear. Once his daggers are out, expect wide-reaching melee attacks that extra quite a bit ahead of him. You can get a few attacks in as you evade heavier ones, but to keep from losing too much HP at the start of the fight, you should aim to side-step the faster three-hit combo. While his bow is out, Childe will either fire six fast Hydro arrows, or a couple heavy, slower shots with a melee stomp at the end.
Deal enough damage to the veil to break it, almost locking Childe into a stagger for as long as you keep the attacks coming. If he covers himself in a Hydro veil for a moment, there's an attack coming. You'll need to keep a watchful eye on the shape his weapons take to know what to look out for. He'll begin using ranged moves with his bow before separating it into two daggers for melee if you're close enough. When the battle first starts, Childe will focus on using Hydro attacks. They're a bit risky against the rapid Hydro moves, but it beats bringing an Electro character that's only going to deal damage half of the time. If going this route, a Geo character like Traveller can do decent damage with Shatter, but it's a time for a well-built Noelle to shine with, you guessed it, shields and heals.Īs for attackers, Pyro seems to work well, but I personally doubled up with Xiangling and Bennett purely for the sustained damage of the former's Normal Attacks, with Bennett coming in to drop his ultimate as a backup heal and much-appreciated ATK boost. Cryo characters like Qiqi and Diona will should be able to help by inflicted Freeze during the Hydro phases while also tossing out heals and shields to the team. Read his moves and wait for an opening from his heavier attacks.Īs for team building, a healer of some sort is an absolute must. Put evasion and mitigation ahead of raw damage or you'll eventually run out of supplies. The whole fight is a lengthy endurance test, making Elemental RES potions and DEF food a good thing to consider.
